Dublin is seeking nominations for its 2013 Independence Day Celebration grand marshal.
Each year a grand marshal is chosen from a pool of candidates that has positively impacted the community through volunteering. Nominees must be a resident or corporate citizen of Dublin for at least three years, an active community volunteer, not in an elected office and cannot have been recognized by the city in the past five years.
Nominations for the 2013 grand marshal are due Friday, April 5.
The Independence Day grand marshal will preside over the July Fourth parade, judge float and table-decorating contests and be at the Independence Day evening celebration.
