Scouting news

Reston Randall of Dublin has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.

Randall is a member of Troop 111 at Jerome United Methodist Church. The son of Gretchen and Russ Randall, he joins his brother Renick as an Eagle Scout.

For his project, Randall planned and supervised fellow scouts in the construction of a wood fence for the Little Shepherds Preschool at his church, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

During his scouting career, Randall has hiked Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, sailed the Bahamas at the Boy Scouts of America's Sea Base and hiked the Gettysburg Battlefield with his fellow scouts.

He is a member of Prince of Peace church, where he is a member of the Senior High Youth Group and participates annually in a mission trip to southern Ohio to rebuild homes. he also helped with flood-related rebuilding in New Orleans. He also co-founded an early morning men's Bible study.

A senior at Dublin Jerome High School, Randall is a member of the National Honor Society and holds a 4.2 grade point average. He is a CAP member, a position selected by faculty, as part of a team that helps freshmen adjust to the academic and social challenges of high school. He is also a four-year member of the lacrosse team and has been named a team captain for this season.
