BMI Federal Credit Union, second annual Community Day, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 27, at 6165 Emerald Parkway. There will be free onsite shredding; Capital Area Humane Society with dogs onsite as well as info on adoption; Mid-Ohio Foodbank will be collecting dry/canned goods; Girl Scouts collecting children's books, educational games and school supplies; Oakland Nurseries will be providing planting tips and demonstrations and a food truck. Country Club at Muirfield Village, paper shredding and electronics recycling event for the Dublin and surrounding communities, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 4, in the country club parking lot, 8715 Muirfield Drive, Dublin. Fireproof Records provides the shredding on-site and disposes of the shredded paper. New for 2013 is recycling of old or obsolete electronic equipment including, but not limited to, computers, servers, monitors, VCRs, televisions, video games, telephones, wires, and cables. Accurate IT will handle the recycling of all electronics. Shredding and recycling is provided free of charge with the exception of a $15 charge for each recycled tube-style television. The Country Club at Muirfield Village Foundation coordinates the event, and will accept donations.

St. Brendan Womens' Club, 13th Annual Dinner and Fashion Show, 6 p.m. May 8. The program will have a theme of "Paint the Town in Color," with fashions by Macy's. Cost $30 per person. For reservations or more information, due May 5, contact stbrwomensclub@gmail.com.

Columbus Speech & Hearing Center, Huntington Hearing Health Program in partnership with Huntington Bank, offering free hearing screenings from 1 to 4 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of every month, Columbus Speech & Hearing Center, 510 E.
