Dublin: Woman dies after reportedly falling from moving car

A 25-year-old Hilliard woman was killed late Friday, April 19, after falling out of a moving truck in Dublin.

Dublin police received a call at 11:47 p.m. Friday and the caller said Jennifer Miller, 25, of Hilliard, had jumped from a truck traveling in the 5100 block of Parkwood Place.

According to police reports, the caller said Miller was unconscious.

Miller was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 12:17 a.m. Saturday, April 20.

The incident is under investigation and awaiting reports from the coroner's office, reports said.

In other recent activity reported by Dublin police:

* A man reported two males jumped him in Coffman Park, 5200 Emerald Parkway, and stole his bike between 4:20 and 4:50 p.m. April 13.

* A necklace, valued at $2,250, was stolen from a resident in the 6400 block of Post Road between 2 p.m. April 7 and 10 a.m. April 11.

* A necklace and diamond ring were reported stolen from a residence in the 7000 block of Calabria Place between 9:45 a.m. and 6:25 p.m. April 12.

A patio door was forced open to get into the residence and a safe was broken into to get the jewelry.

* A pistol, video game system, headphones and two iPads were stolen from a residence in the 6200 block Craughwell Lane between 7:50 a.m. and 5:35 p.m. April 15.

A lock on the front door was forced open to get into the home.

* A briefcase, iPad, $200, calculator, phone charger and other items were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 6600 block of Dublin Center Drive between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. April 12. A window was broken to get into the car.

* A purse, credit card, checks and two book bags were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at a business in the 6600 block of Dublin Center Drive between 5:15 and 6:45 p.m. April 15.

* A bookbag, stereo, iPhone, $80, books and other items were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 6700 block of Village Parkway between 7 and 9 p.m. April 14.

* An iPhone, checkbook, keys and leather cover were reported stolen from a briefcase sitting on a desk at a business in the 5000 block of Post Road between noon and 1:45 p.m. April 13.

* A laptop computer was reported stolen from a business in the 7400 block of Hospital Drive between 12:01 a.m. April 10 and 12:01 a.m. April 16.

* A wallet, $20 and ID were reported stolen from a man while at a business in the 3800 block of Hard Road between 1:40 and 3:20 p.m. April 15.

The man told police he realized he didn't have his wallet when he left the business and when he returned, he couldn't locate the wallet.

* A check for $85 was reported stolen from a mailbox at a residence in the 7800 block of Nassau Loop between 7:45 and 8:45 a.m. April 16.

Another resident in the same block reported that one of three checks put in his mailbox was stolen as well.

* A fight was reported at Coffman High School, 6780 Coffman Road, between 2:45 and 2:50 p.m. April 11.

According to reports, two girls started yelling at each other after the bell rang and then started fighting.
