5K run to help Race to help Down syndrome organization
A Dublin 5K that expects 1,000 runners will raise money for a Down syndrome nonprofit organization.
The 2FGR Race Day for Down syndrome is slated for 7 p.m. May 23 at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, 5600 Post Road, with proceeds going to Down Syndrome Achieves.
Down Syndrome Achieves is a nonprofit group that funds research, advocacy and education to help people with Down syndrome lead meaningful, independent lives.
The event is organized by 2FGR, a Dublin running group that meets weekday mornings at 5:30 a.m. for exercise and is open to the public.
Registration for the race begins at 6 p.m. May 23 with the 5K and kids fun run set for 7 p.m.
Entry to the 5K is $30 untimed and $35 timed.
The prices increase to $35 for untimed and $40 for timed on race day. The kids fun run or walk is $15.
