Two more men sentenced for roles in slaying of clerk
Two men were sentenced last week for their roles in a 2012 Dublin murder.
Jeffery M. Collins, 23, and Eddie J. Murphy, 23, pleaded guilty to the shooting death of Mohamed Hassan, 46, of Dublin, who was working at the Sunoco gasoline station in Historic Dublin when it was robbed Feb. 13, 2012.
Collins was sentenced to 43 years to life in prison for aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and theft.
Murphy was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and kidnapping.
A third man involved in the robbery and murder, Austin M. Cusey, 19, was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole in February.
The men were also tied to a February 2012 robbery at the Dublin Max & Erma's restaurant and a break-in at the Powder Room shooting range in Powell.
