Mosquito spraying will be done in areas of Dublin at 9 p.m. Thursday, July 18, weather permitting.
Traps set throughout Dublin found a high number of mosquitoes in the west, north and northeast areas of the city, and the spraying will be done to try to reduce the number of mosquitoes.
A trap in the western section of Dublin also tested positive for West Nile virus.
Residents are also asked to take precautions such as wearing insect repellant, limiting outdoor activity at dusk and dawn and eliminating standing water around homes.
