Coffman student Drake Thomas was awarded a National Merit Northwestern University Scholarship and plans to go into surgical medicine.

Jerome students Alyssa Nelson won a National Merit University of Cincinnati Scholarship and Sharon Shuo Zhang received a National Merit University of Southern California Scholarship.

Nelson plans to major in biomedical engineering and Zhang is planning for a future in pharmaceutical science.

Josh Imbriani, a St. Charles Prep student, received a National Merit University of Oklahoma Scholarship. His likely field of study is computer science.

Wellington student Vishal Sharoff won a National Merit Northeastern University Scholarship and plans to study medicine.

To receive the award, students had to perform well on the PSAT and then write an essay, have an outstanding academic record and be endorsed by a high school official.
