Amy Salay will run for re-election to Dublin City Council this fall.

The Ward 2 representative has been a Dublin City Council member since 2002.

She said she wants to continue to represent her ward in the many projects under way, such as the Bridge Street corridor, Ohio University medical college and Interstate 270/U.S. Route 33 interchange improvements.

"I'm proud of the work I've done with the neighborhood civic associations, and as an advocate for neighborhood interests," she said in an announcement.

"I believe that my tenure on council has seen the city become more responsive and focused on neighborhood interests, as evidenced by the twice-a-year HOA Leadership meetings, the Tara Hill Traffic Calming Task Force and the extensive public involvement for proposed developments and most aspects of city activities, planning and development."

If elected, Salay said she wants to see the completion of the Dublin Road south bike path and Emerald Parkway, in addition to the beginning of Bridge Street corridor redevelopment and plans for a new library.
