* Four piano students from Dublin have received honors from the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
Amanda Killian, a sophomore at Dublin Coffman High School and Alexander Kovac, a DCHS freshman, have received the Paderewski Gold Medal, awarded to students who have presented 10-piece memorized programs for adjudication for 10 years.
Catherine Lee from Dublin Jerome High School earned the High School Diploma in Social Music.
David Xiong, a sixth-grader at Wyandot Elementary School, earned the Sonatina Plaque.
* Leadership Columbus announces its Class of 2014.
The program, designed to develop, connect and inspire emerging and existing leaders in the Columbus area, selected 54 individuals from a pool of candidates to participate in the 10-month program. Selection is made based on qualifications and commitment to the community.
The class includes Dublin residents: Amy Ruth Ita, attorney, Barnes and Thornburgh LLP; Matthew McKinnon, senior tax manager, Schneider Downs & Co.; Mark Ogden, business development engineer, Turner Construction; Sharon Tackett, CEO/founder, Delta Energy Services LLC; and Charles Wilson Jr., director, government relations, Nationwide.
