Road work may hinder back-to-school traffic
Traffic could be worse than usual in Dublin when students return to school.
With construction going on at two intersections near schools, the city of Dublin is urging parents to make sure students have plenty of time to get to school and to exercise patience when school is back in session Wednesday, Aug. 21.
The construction of a roundabout at Brand and Coffman roads will close the intersection Wednesday, Aug. 21. The project is expected to keep the intersection closed through November.
Near Jerome High School, the intersection of Hyland-Croy and Brand roads continues to be closed as the construction of a roundabout there wraps up.
City Engineer Paul Hammersmith said he anticipates the intersection opening Sept. 11.
Detour information will be available on Dublin's website at dublinohiousa.gov.
