Spa to cut hair to make wigs for cancer patients
The Spa at River Ridge will cut hair to make wigs for children who have lost hair because of chemotherapy and other medical reasons Sept. 8.
"Snippin' Sunday Family Fun Day," slated from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, will include free hair cuts, games and other events to raise awareness for pediatric cancer research at the Spa at River Ridge, 6570 Riverside Drive.
Free hair cuts will be offered for hair donations, although a minimum of eight inches in hair length is needed.
The hair will be donated for wigs for children who have lost their hair after chemotherapy, Alopecia, burns and other illnesses.
Carnival games, crafts and food will also be offered.
The business will accept new toys for Nationwide Children's Hospital and a list of suggested needs can be found online at nationwidechildrens.com/wish-list-for-donations.
