Historic Dublin group plans scavenger hunt
The Historic Dublin Business Association will offer practice for St. Patrick's Day with a Sept. 14 scavenger hunt.
The event is slated nearly half way to St. Patrick's Day and will offer participants a chance to explore Historic Dublin from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 14.
The event will kick off at BriHi Square and teams of four will be given goodie bags with items from Historic Dublin businesses and clues on the 17 stops in the area, said Jill Cullinan, owner of Integrated Marketing Solutions which is working with the business association on the event.
"There will be desserts to try, beverages to drink and different things to find in retail shops," she said. "There will be a band in the square as well."
To prove participants have solved the scavenger hunt clues, they must get signatures of business employees or take pictures of themselves at the businesses.
Teams that make it to all 17 stops will be entered in a drawing to win a basket of items from Dublin businesses such as Starbucks and La Chatelaine, Cullinan said.
Entry into the Practice Patrick's Scavenger Hunt is $30 and can be completed by calling 614-406-8123 or emailing email@example.com.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
