Presidents Cup

Event prompts a weeklong celebration

The Presidents Cup will bring more to central Ohio than golf.

The golf competition slated to run at Muirfield Village Golf Club Oct. 1-6 will bring music, celebrations and other activities to Dublin and central Ohio.

Oct. 1, golfers from the international and U.S. teams will practice at Muirfield Village Golf Club.

The Presidents Cup Opening Ceremony will bring Rascal Flatts and an international festival to Columbus Commons at 5 p.m. Oct. 2.

The event is sold out.

The first day of competition for the Presidents Cup is Oct. 3.

A motorcade is also slated for Oct. 3 and will make a stop at Indian Run Elementary School at 9:20 a.m.

Later in the day, a portion of roads in Historic Dublin will close from 4 to 11 p.m. as Fore!Fest brings music, food and entertainment to Dublin starting at 5 p.m.

More play between the golf teams will run through Oct. 6 at Muirfield.

Oct. 5, the Short North Gallery Hop will be Presidents Cup themed and run from 4 to 10 p.m.

Oct. 6 is the final day of competition and the closing ceremony will be held 30 minutes after play concludes in the Presidents Cup Fan Experience area outside the main gate on Memorial Drive.
