A Dublin senior was recognized with two STEM-focused awards recently.
Bishop Watterson senior Abbey Andrews, of Dublin, received the 2013 Rensselaer Medal and the Honda-OSU Partnership Math Medal Award. Andrews has the chance to win scholarships through the awards as well.
The Rensselaer Medal recognizes academic achievement and works to encourage students to go into STEM careers.
The award is presented at more than 2,000 U.S. high schools that select one member of the junior class for the honor.
Recipients of the Honda-OSU Math Medal are judged on performance in mathematics through the end of the junior year in central and western Ohio.
