Man charged after leaving child unattended in vehicle
Both Dublin police and the Washington Township Fire Department responded to a report of child endangering Sept. 28 at Darree Fields, 6259 Cosgray Road.
A woman called police and said a child had been sitting in a vehicle and the windows were rolled up.
When she arrived at 1:25 p.m., the caller told police, the vehicle was running, but it shut off and a child was left sitting in the car for at least 15 minutes.
When the Dublin police arrived, the Washington Township fire personnel already had the child out of the car.
A Hilliard man was cited by police for the incident.
In other recent Dublin Division of Police incident reports:
* Several feet of copper piping, valued at $8,500, was stolen from an uninhabited building in the 7000 block of Post Road between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 27 and 1 p.m. Sept. 30.
* Briefcases, identification and a flash drive were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 100 block of South Riverview Street between 10:30 p.m. Sept. 29 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 30.
