Runners in Dublin, Kuwait support Rozanski and school foundations

After runners hit the trails at Glacier Ridge Metro Park for the Dublin City Schools 5K, a shadow run of the event was held at U.S. Army Camp Arifjan, in Kuwait.

More than 125 Ohio soldiers at the camp ran a remote race in honor of Capt. Nicholas Rozanski, a Dublin man killed in action in Afghanistan last year.

The runners in Arifjan raised more than $1,250 for the Dublin 5K that will benefit the Nick Rozanski Memorial Foundation and Dublin Education Foundation.

Runners also signed a banner that will be sent to Rozanski's wife, Jenny and two daughters.

The shadow run was organized by soldiers from the Ohio National Guard's 371st Sustainment Brigade, who knew and served with Rozanski before his death in April 2012.
