Burglar breaks in through basement window

Two televisions, coins, a laptop computer, keyboard and credit cards were stolen in a burglary at a residence in the 7500 block of Riverside Drive between 9:15 a.m. and 8:15 p.m. Oct. 21, Dublin police reported.

Residents told police the residence was locked when they left and police said entry was gained through a basement window.

The residents returned home to find it open and many drawers dumped on the floor, in addition to items stolen.

In other recent Dublin Division of Police incident reports:

* Copper gutters, valued at $8,000, were reported stolen from St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road, at 5:41 a.m. Oct. 22.

A witness saw two men removing copper downspouts and gutters. When they saw the witness, the men left in a purple Plymouth Voyager van, reports said.

* Four $100 gift cards were stolen from a residence in the 6400 block of Post Road between 8 a.m. Oct. 15 and 5 p.m. Oct. 18.

The gift cards were used at a Westerville business and a surveillance camera captured video of the cards being used.

* A white male reportedly stole five bottles of perfume from a business in the 7000 block of Hospital Drive between 5:44 and 5:46 p.m. Oct. 21. Police reports said the man ran into the business, took the perfume and ran out without paying. Outside, he hopped into a waiting Mercury and fled the scene.
