Presidents Cup is among chamber honorees

By ThisWeek Community News  •

The Presidents Cup will be honored at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce's annual Recognition Luncheon.

The 28th Recognition Luncheon, slated for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Muirfield Village Golf Club, 5750 Memorial Drive, will honor local business members and events.

The 2013 Spotlight Dublin Award that honors a person, place or thing that brings positive national attention to the city will go to the Presidents Cup.

The early October golf event made Dublin the third golf venue in the U.S. to host the Presidents Cup. The event also brought national and international attention to Dublin with live news coverage and thousands of visitors.

The Presidents Award will go to Jeff Holowicki of Smiley Dental Group for his positive contributions to the Dublin community and local businesses.

The Ambassador of the Year award will go to Rod Zeigler, membership coordinator of Sam's Club. Zeigler joined the chamber's Ambassador Club three years ago, information from the chamber said, and since then he has worked hard on events and increasing awareness of the chamber.

The Recognition Luncheon is open to all businesses and members of the community. Tickets are $28 per person or $250 for a corporate table of eight or $300 for a corporate table of 10. Valet parking is included.

Reservations will be accepted for the luncheon until Nov. 30. For more information, call the chamber at 614-889-2001 or look online at dublinchamber.org/recognitionluncheon.
