Several spare tires and wheel covers were recovered when Dublin police officers stopped to check on a vehicle that was stopped in the wrong lane of traffic in the first block of Dublin Methodist Lane.

Police found the car abandoned about 3:50 p.m. Nov. 10 and tried to find the owner at a nearby gas station.

Because they could not find the owner, police put a ticket on the vehicle's windshield and had it towed for blocking the roadway.

Upon taking inventory of the vehicle before towing, several spare tires were seen in the back seat.

The owner of the car, a Pickerington man, was arrested for receiving stolen property.

Six spare tires were stolen from vehicles around Dublin last week.
