A Dublin company was named one of the top job creators in the country in 2012.
Inc. magazine honored ViaQuest Inc. with the Hire Power Award for generating 334 jobs between Jan. 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.
The Dublin-based company was the third highest job creator in the healthcare industry in the country and the fourth-highest job creator overall in Ohio.
The company has been headquartered in Dublin since 1994 and has locations throughout the nation.
The company provides employment services and community- or residential-based care for people with developmental disabilities, offers home health and hospice care for aging adults at their homes and serves adults with severe or persistent mental health issues, a news release from the company said.
"We have been able to expand our delivery of quality healthcare services because we bring together the best and the brightest within our industry," Rich Johnson, founder, CEO and president of ViaQuest, said in a news release.
"We've created a culture where our people make the difference," Johnson said.
"This award is a testament to the care, hard work and commitment our employees provide every day to empower people with a wide range of needs to function independently and live their best lives."
The company employs 112 at its Dublin location, which is the biggest in central Ohio. Other local facilities are in Westerville and Grove City.
Most of the new growth that earned the hiring award occurred in northern and central Ohio as well as Pittsburgh, Dayton and Cleveland.
Bethany Cramer, public relations manager for ViaQuest said the company is expecting further growth.
"Much of the growth is targeted in the home health and hospice area, along with its other service lines," Cramer said
