$37,500 reportedly embezzled from business

A business in the 6300 block of Sawmill Road reported to Dublin police someone has embezzled $37,500.

The business representative reporting the crime did not have any suggesstions about possible suspects according to reports.

The money was reportedly stolen from cash deposits between May 17, 2011, and Dec. 13, 2013. The business reported about $7,000 has also been stolen from another central Ohio location.

In other recent Dublin police reports:

* A saw was stolen from the garage of a residence in the 5600 block of Tuttle Crossing Boulevard between 9 a.m. Dec. 1 and 4 p.m. Dec. 15.

An autographed picture from inside the residence was also stolen.

Copper wire, copper pipe and a washer was stolen from an unoccupied residence in the 7000 block of Post Preserve Boulevard between noon Nov. 25 and noon Dec. 6.

* A purse and its contents were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 7100 block of Avery Road between 9 and 10 a.m. Dec. 15. A window was broken to get into the car.

* Two tablet computers and accessories were stolen from a vehicle parked at a business in the 6200 block of Sawmill Road between 11 and 11 a.m. Dec. 15.

Reports said the thieves gained access to the electronics by breaking a window.

* The window of a vehicle parked at Scioto High School, 4000 Hard Road, was broken and a purse was stolen between 11 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Dec. 15.

Two women grabbed armfuls of clothing at a business in the 6200 block of Sawmill Road and ran out of the store without paying for the merchandise between 4:10 and 4:16 p.m. Dec. 13.

The business estimates the women stole about $200 worth of merchandise each.
