Dublin: Unattended cell phone believed stolen at recreaction center

A cell phone was stolen while a man was lifting weights at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, 5600 Post Road.

The man told Dublin police he set his phone down while exercising at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 4.

He reported he went to another machine and forgot to take his phone with him.

When he returned to the machine 15 minutes later the cell phone was gone and reports said no one turned a phone into the front desk.

In other recent Dublin police reports:

* A laptop was stolen from a business in the 5200 block of Blazer Memorial Parkway between Oct.7 and Jan.2.

Reports said an employee realized the computer was missing when inventory was done.

* A car parked in the first block of West Bridge Street was broken into between 11 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. Jan. 3 and a guitar and guitar case were stolen.

* A laptop computer, purse, phone and other items were stolen from a vehicle parked at a business in the 5400 block of Wilcox Road between 8 and 8:09 a.m. Jan. 7.

* A vehicle parked at a business in the 6000 block of Glick Road was damaged between 7 and 11:08 p.m. Jan. 3.

The owners reported that a window was broken and another was damaged when someone tried to break in. Nothing was reported stolen.
