Jerome Model UN team shines

Dublin Jerome High School's Model UN team stood out among more than 150 other schools, taking honors at the Ohio Model United Nations.

Students Roger Jin, Cassidy Wang and Patrick Liu served as officers for the Ohio Model UN, which is organized by the Ohio Leadership Institute.

Honors went to Eric Qui for outstanding leadership and Fred Park for winning the current events contest.

Two Jerome High School teams also won outstanding resolution and are the Haiti team of Dominic Ross, Eric Cheng, Hudson Ozello, Ryan Day, Connor Larkin, James Kuchler, Noah Black, Josh Gentry, Tony Prenger and Chase Goodman; and the Czech Republic team of Virag Anand, Pranav Kaza, Alex Estrada, Dylan Jutagir, Nilendu Shashidhar, Cameron Clark, Eric Qiu, Pranav Shankar, Arsh Bajwa and Keemia Rashidi.

The Jerome team representing Mali competed in the semifinals of the cultural talent showcase and includes Ilesh Jain, Simon Zhuang, Rohan Prabhu, Gus Workman, Garrett Go, Derek Wang, Matvey Yang, Ryan Williamson and George Chen.

Jerome students May Chen and Linda Quin were named council presidents for the Ohio Leadership Institute at next year's Ohio Model UN.
