Dublin: 300-pound bronze sculpture stolen from home's backyard

A bronze sculpture, valued at $5,000, was stolen from the backyard of a residence in the 4500 block of Sixpenny Circle between 4 p.m. Jan. 21 and 6 a.m. Jan. 22.

The sculpture of a child pushing another child on a swing weighs about 300 pounds according to reports.

In other recent Dublin Police reports:

* Copper wiring, valued at $200, was stolen from a construction site in the 6300 block of Perimeter Drive between 4 p.m. Jan. 17 and 10 a.m. Jan. 20.

Someone entered the site by pushing through a door that was blocked with plywood.

* A pen holder and $200 were stolen from a business in the 5100 block of Blazer Memorial Parkway between 4:07 a.m. Jan. 7 and 4:07 p.m. Jan. 11.

Another man renting space at the business let a relative in who allegedly stole the items, reports said.

* Bags of tools were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 500 block of North Metro Place after a side window in the vehicle was broken between 3:30 p.m. Jan. 13 and 6:50 a.m. Jan. 20.

* An iPhone was stolen from a business in the 6400 block of Post Road between 2 and 3 p.m. Jan. 23. The phone was left unsecured in a room and was gone when the owner returned for it.
