Dublin: Juvenile charged with inducing panic with Instagram posting

A juvenile was charged with inducing panic at Karrer Middle School on April 11.

According to Dublin Division of Police reports, a student was "circulating a report of a false attack on a school and posting this false information on Instagram" at Karrer Middle School, 7245 Tullymore Drive.

The juvenile was charged with inducing panic and according to police reports, placed in a diversion program.

In other recent Dublin Police reports:

* Money was removed from a cash box at a business on Muirfield Drive between 8 and 8:30 p.m. April 10. An employee reported stepping away from the work counter for a few minutes and upon returning finding $95 missing from the cash box.

* A woman's purse and its contents were stolen from her vehicle while parked at a business in the 3800 block of Hard Road between 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. April 15.

A window was broken to get into the vehicle.

* A man reported his wallet and its contents stolen while he was at a business in the 5100 block of Post Road between 8 p.m. April 11 and 7 a.m. April 13.

The man said he placed his wallet in his back- pack and when he went to retrieve it April 13, it was gone.

* An iPhone was stolen from a woman while at a business in the 4100 block of W Dublin-Granville Road between 9 and 11 p.m. April 4. The woman said the phone was beside her friend's purse on a counter where they sat.

An employee at the business was arrested for allegedly stealing credit cards from her friend's purse and the woman thought the same employee may have taken her phone as well, reports said.
