Six vehicles were set on fire early Thursday morning (May 8) in Columbus' Riverside Green neighborhood, near Dublin.
No injuries were reported, but two additional homes and cars were damaged when six vehicles were set on fire in the neighborhoods that are between Sawmill Road and Riverside Drive, south of state Route 161, Columbus Fire Battalion Chief Tracy Smith said.
"There were eight cars involved," she said. "Six were completely engulfed and two were exposed. Two houses were also exposed to the high heat on those vehicles."
According to information from 10TV, the calls started coming in at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, May 8, as fires were reported on Saybrook Court, Aleshire Drive and Strathaven Court.
The fires were reported at four separate locations, Smith said.
"We had three fire engines working on the fires," she said. "We sent out two investigators."
The Columbus Fire Department will lead the investigation with Columbus police.
"Currently, we don't have a suspect as yet," Smith said. "Our investigation is still ongoing."
