Investigators from the Columbus Division of Fire continue to look for leads in several cases of arson that occurred in the Riverside Green neighborhood May 8.
In the early morning hours May 8, the Columbus Fire Department responded to six reports of vehicle fires on Saybrook Court, Aleshire Drive and Strathaven Court in northwest Columbus.
The fires set in the neighborhood that sits just outside of Dublin between Sawmill Road and Riverside Drive, south of state Route 161, damaged homes and other vehicles parked nearby.
Some of the vehicles set fire were parked in driveways.
"There were eight cars involved," said Battalion Chief Tracy Smith.
"Two houses were also exposed to the high heat on those vehicles."
No injuries were reported from the fires and Smith said the Columbus Fire officials are investigating.
"There have been no arrests and no other leads," she said Monday, May 12.
"We still have investigators working on talking with witnesses."
