Officers look for truck in hit-and-run accident

Dublin Police are seeking information from the public about an early morning accident that occurred on Interstate 270 Friday, July 4.

According to police, a motorcyclist was involved with in an accident with a car about 3 a.m. Friday. As the injured motorcyclist lay on the freeway he was then hit by a truck. The box truck that hit the man and did not stop on southbound I-270 is described as having a red cab and white box that was about 20 feet long, information from Dublin Police said.

"If anyone was around the freeway at the time or know of someone driving a truck that matches the description around the area at that time, police want to talk to them," said Jodi Andes, Dublin senior public information officer.

The motorcyclist was in critical condition in the Ohio State University Hospital Tuesday, July 8.
