Stitzlein pleads guilty to disorderly conduct charge

Former Riverside Elementary School principal Connie Stitzlein pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct this month.

In February, Stitzlein was charged with domestic violence and Dublin City School District officials reassigned her to the central office.

According to police reports, Stitzlein threw a drawer down a stairwell and hit her fiance in the eye at the couple's New Albany home.

In the reports she told officers she did not know he was standing at the bottom of the stairs.

Stitzlein was originally charged with domestic violence, but pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct in Franklin County Municipal Court this month.

Stitzlein was given a sentence of four days in jail and she received credit for time already served.

Doug Baker, Dublin City Schools District coordinator of public information, said Stitzlein is on unpaid medical leave.

Staci Lutz took over as principal at Riverside last spring and is serving as the leader of the school.
