The choruses of the Germania Singing and Sport Society will present an Epiphany celebration with songs and readings performed in the German language.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4383 E. Broad St. in Columbus.

The Epiphany marks the end of the Christmas season and is traditionally Jan. 6, 12 days after Christmas Day. It marks the arrival of the three wise men in Bethlehem bearing gifts for the newborn Jesus Christ.

The Germania Singers have sung at Epiphany celebrations for several years, in both Protestant and Catholic Churches.

This is the first time they have performed in Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The service will be in German with an English translation.
