Sophomore Mary Pfeifer, a Coffman graduate, recently set a record in the 10,000 meters for the Wittenberg women's track and field team.

Pfeifer finished in 38 minutes, 10.58 seconds to win in the Division III All-Ohio Championships on April 17. She lowered the old record by 20 seconds.

Senior Joelle Ghanem, a Coffman graduate, played well for the Wittenberg women's lacrosse team during a three-game stretch from April 5 to April 10. In those three games Ghanem, a midfielder, led the team in goals (8) and assists (4) and also accounted for five groundballs, grabbed four draw controls and caused two turnovers.

Pickerington Central will play host to the Tiger Volleyball Classic on June 19 at the high school. It will be an open invitation tournament for teams with high school experience or beyond. It will have pool play beginning at 9 a.m. followed by a single-elimination tournament. Waiver liability forms will be provided at the site and must be signed by a parent or legal guardian if the participant is under the age of 18. Former Ohio State and NFL football player Chris Spielman will hold the fourth-annual Chris Spielman Football Camp from 5:30-8:30 p.m. July 19-21 at Dublin Coffman High School for boys and girls ages 7-14. Spielman will be at the camp to direct activities and help provide instruction, in addition to various local high school and college coaches.

Former Ohio State men's basketball players and current NBA players Mike Conley, Daequan Cook and Greg Oden will hold the Buckeye Stars Basketball Camp on July 28-30 at Worthington Kilbourne. The first session will be from 9 a.m. to noon and the second session will be from 1-4 p.m.

The three former Buckeyes will be on site to help direct camp activities and provide instruction. Also providing instruction will be various prep and college coaches from the area. The camp will specialize in fundamental skills and the team concept of basketball.
