Scioto assistant coach Bishop dies
Jason Bishop, who was an assistant girls soccer coach at Dublin Scioto High School, died Jan. 17 following a battle with cancer.
Bishop, 40, also was an intervention specialist at Scioto.
He was diagnosed with colon cancer last February.
He returned to Scioto six weeks after undergoing surgery and his initial treatment.
“Jason’s passing is a great loss to his wife, Michaele, and sons, Jake and Joel, and that loss spreads to the rest of his family, friends, Dublin Scioto and our girls soccer program,” Scioto coach Chris Adams said. “Jason is truly a great person and he touched so many lives of students and was respected by so many people. Jason is a friend and he will be missed by so many.”
