Five Dublin Coffman High School football players signed Feb. 1 to play in college, including wide receiver Marcus Davis with the University of Toledo.

Others to sign were linebacker Joe Hackett (Butler), linebacker Mitch Kraly (Tiffin), tight end Henry Kruse (Ohio Dominican) and defensive back Tre Scott (Saginaw Valley State).

Those players helped the Shamrocks finish 8-3 overall last season after losing to Pickerington Central 55-14 in a first-round Division I playoff game.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Davis was named first-team all-state, all-district and all-OCC-Central Division after he caught 64 passes for 907 yards with eight touchdowns and had three punt returns for scores.

The 6-4, 240-pound Hackett was second-team all-league.

The 6-0, 200-pound Kraly had 120 tackles, including seven for loss, four sacks and two fumble recoveries last season. He was second-team all-district and all-league.

Toledo plays in the Football Bowl Subdivision, formerly Division I-A, and Butler plays in the Football Championship Subdivision, formerly Division I-AA. Ohio Dominican, Tiffin and Saginaw Valley State are members of NCAA Division II.
