Dunsmore named coach at Jerome

Rob Dunsmore has been named coach of the Dublin Jerome High School girls basketball team.

He replaces Matt Martin, who resigned in March after five seasons to spend more time with his family.

Dunsmore was the j.v. coach two years ago with the Jerome girls program. He also has coached boys and girls basketball at the AAU level.

He was a boys basketball coach in Wisconsin in the late 1980s.

“I coached with coach Martin a couple of years ago, so I know the players and the community,” said Dunsmore, who works in medical sales. “That’s why I was drawn to this position.”

The Celtics finished 11-10 overall last season after losing to Delaware 27-24 in the opening round of the Division I district tournament.

They finished 8-6 in the OCC-Cardinal Division, tying Westerville South for fourth behind champion Olentangy (13-1).
