Dublin Scioto High School senior swimmer Liz Harty will compete for the University of Michigan.
Harty officially signed a letter of intent Nov. 20, but because of scheduling conflicts, Scioto held a ceremony recognizing her achievement Jan. 25.
The next day, Harty won the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 55.73 seconds) and 100 butterfly (58.42) in the OCC-Cardinal Division meet at Thomas Worthington.
Last season at state, she was eighth in the 100 fly (56.57) and 16th in the 100 free (53.66).
Harty holds the program record in the 100 fly (56.4) and was a member of the record-holding 200 medley (1:49.12) and 400 free (3:33.78) relays.
Those relays also included Harty’s sister, Caitlin, a 2010 graduate who is a sophomore swimmer at the University of Evansville.
