Scioto's Houston opts to be preferred walk-on at OSU
Despite receiving a scholarship offer from Bowling Green, Dublin Scioto High School senior William Houston has accepted an offer to join the Ohio State football team as a preferred walk-on.
A 6-foot-1, 250-pound fullback and linebacker for the Irish, he has completed his high school requirements and will enroll at Ohio State for spring semester.
Houston, the son of a former Buckeyes fullback of the same name, rushed for 1,151 yards and 12 touchdowns on 245 carries and had 29 receptions for 324 yards and two touchdowns and was named special mention all-district and first-team all-league.
Last fall, Scioto finished 8-3 overall.
