Coffman duo to play college soccer
Bailey Wilson and Kelly Phipps of the Dublin Coffman High School girls soccer team signed letters of intent Feb. 6 to play in college.
Wilson will play at the University of Cincinnati and Phipps will play at Western Kentucky.
Wilson, a midfielder, had 14 goals and 17 assists last season to be named first-team all-OCC-Central Division and to ThisWeek’s Super 12 team. She also was first-team all-district and second-team all-state in Division I.
Phipps, a forward, saw limited action after suffering a fractured vertebra while playing for her club team last spring.
Last season, the Shamrocks finished 15-1-4, losing to Pickerington North 1-0 in a regional semifinal.
Coffman won its 10th district title and fourth in a row under coach Marc D’Auteuil.
The Shamrocks also won the league title at 6-0-1.
