The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Franklin County will offer free classes for families beginning the week of Aug. 25.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Franklin County will offer free classes for families beginning the week of Aug. 25.

Two classes will be offered: Family to Family, a 12-week class for family members of an adult with a mental illness, and Hand to Hand, a nine-week class for parents of a young child with a mental illness.

The Friends and Family class will be offered: 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Aug. 26 at the Consumer Credit Counseling Services Building, 4500 E. Broad St.; 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Aug. 27 at Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 7 W. Henderson Road; 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sundays beginning Aug. 31 at the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, 4075 N. High St.; 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays beginning Aug. 28 at the NAMI Ohio office, 747 E. Broad St.; and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays beginning Aug. 28 at the VA Hospital, 543 Taylor Ave.

The Hand to Hand class will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays beginning Aug. 28 at Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 7 W. Henderson Road.
