Dana Honick recently received the 2009 Tutoring Club Scholarship.

A graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, Honick plans to major in business administration and minor in marketing at Ohio State University.

Tutoring Club, located in Gahanna and Powell, offers multiple annual scholarships to students in the central Ohio area.

Several students from Gahanna and Blacklick earned major awards during the recent Honors Assembly at Columbus Academy.

Krupa Harishankar of Blacklick earned the academy's top award, the Williams Cup. She also received the Rose Prize for English and the Sol Morton Isaac Award for editing the student newspaper.

Ali Mozenter of Gahanna received the Princeton Cup for demonstrating the most improvement in academics and other areas, such as citizenship and attitude. Fellow Gahanna residents Sydney Fisher, Ben Mozenter, Elizabeth Petrie and Courtney Turner received the Service Board Award of Merit.

Blacklick resident Audrey Young won the Summer F. Dennett Cup for her contributions to the community. She also won the Rose Prize for Spanish and was recognized as a 12-season athlete.

Other award winners from Blacklick were Chelsea Dipman (Ray Kinsman Waters Art Cup, 12-season athlete), Abby Howard (Paul S. Schoedinger Award) and Kelsi Ratliff (12-season athlete).

Additional award winners from Gahanna were Chelsea Arata (Rose Prize for Chinese), Valerie Micek (Paul S. Schoedinger Award), Elizabeth Petrie (Cum Laude Society) and Aatifa Shareef (Theater Award, Rose Prize for Latin, Paul S. Schoedinger Award).
