Gahanna is between the Blues & Jazz Fest and Independence Day celebrations, but that isn't slowing the entertainment.

It starts Friday, with a concert, followed by a movie.

Hat Trick will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 26 in the Music in the Park Series held in Friendship Park. After end of that show, the audience can hurry across the street to the Creekside Plaza, Rotary Stage, 123 Mill St. to hear and see The Wizard of Oz in the monthly Classics on the Creek movie series. The movie starts at 9 p.m.

And both are free.

The rest of the coming week's activities include:

8 to 10 p.m. Saturday June 27, Concerts on the Creek with Homeland.

2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28. The Gahanna Family Bike Ride will start from the Middle School East, 730 Clotts Road, parking lot. The trip led by Patricia Kovacs will begin with a short safety talk.

Riders will then be led along low-traffic Gahanna streets and bike trails, visiting the northeast side neighborhoods to the bike path by the Morse Road and U.S. Route 62 roundabout.

The trip will stop for ice cream at Graeter's on the way home, so bring some money Individual riders must be 8 or older with an adult, and all riders must wear a helmet. Bicycle trailers, tagalongs and tandems are welcome for younger participants. Please bring water and a snack. For more information, contact Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation at 342-4250.

6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday June 30, Creekside Plaza, Rotary Stage, 123 Mill St.: Soul Satyr performs in the Gahanna Rotary Family Series. The series will have musical acts through Oct. 13 on each Tuesday at this stage.

Parks and Recreation officials have canceled the Concerts in the Park performance for July 3. It will return on July 10, at the Creekside Rotary Stage, 123 Mill St.
