The couple has set a Sept. 12, 2009, wedding date, with the ceremony to be held at the United Methodist Church of Stow.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent, Ohio, and is employed by First Merit Bank in Stow.

The future groom graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School and is employed by Ganley Volkswagen in Akron.


Sarah Eastwood, daughter of Art and Sharon Eastwood of Pickerington, and John Reed, son of Roger and Maggie Reed of Delaware and Linda and Dave Vanpelt of Grandview Heights, have announced their engagement and plans to be married.

The bride-to-be is a 2001 Pickerington High School graduate and is employed by Fifth Third Bank.

The future groom graduated from Reynoldsburg High School in 1996 and is employed by the Ohio Army National Guard.

The couple plans a Sept. 19 wedding at Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna.

The bride-to-be graduated in 2007 from Wittenberg University with a bachelor's degree in communication and journalism. She is employed by Paul Werth Associates.

The future groom received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering in 2005 and a master's degree in nuclear engineering in 2007, both from Ohio State University. He is employed by Battelle Memorial Institute.
