Blacklick resident and Columbus Academy eighth-grader Indian Sherman competed in the Ohio Junior Olympics State Swimming Championships. In the 100 breaststroke Sherman broke the 14-year-old record by finishing in 1 minutes, 16.05 seconds, which was also the fastest time in the nation this year in that age group. In the 50 breaststroke, Sherman finished in 34.8 seconds, breaking a 17-year-old state meet record.
