Local voters will have some decisions to make in the November elections, regardless of where they live in the Gahanna area.

Three seats are up for election on the Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education. Two Jefferson and two Mifflin township trustees seats are up for grabs and have opposition.

All four of Gahanna City Council's ward members are running unopposed.

Those who live in Gahanna or Mifflin Township vote for the Mifflin Township trustees and Gahanna-Jefferson school board races. They'll also vote on unopposed Gahanna City Council candidates.

Blacklick or Jefferson Township residents vote for the Jefferson Township trustees and Gahanna-Jefferson school board.

Three Gahanna-Jefferson board seats are up for grabs. Candidates are incumbent Jeffrey L. Carson, 7481 Morse Road, New Albany; incumbent Clarice J. Yoder, 3200 Mann Road, Blacklick; newcomer Miles F. Herbert, 51 Walcreek Drive West, Gahanna; newcomer Scott Mounts, 195 Greenbank Road, Gahanna; and newcomer Jill Schuler, 88 Highmeadow Drive.

Current board member Marlene Eader did not file for re-election.

The races for Jefferson and Mifflin township trustees are contested.

Bill Keseg, 8330 Keseg Way, Blacklick, is challenging incumbent Jefferson Township trustees Mat Flanagan, 7019 Clark State Road, Blacklick, and Donna Finn of 5909 Headley Road, Gahanna.

In Mifflin Township, James Gould, 309 Farm Creek Drive, Gahanna, is challenging incumbent trustees Joseph Spanovich, 760 Taylor Road, and Lynn Stewart, 561 Laurel Ridge Drive, both Gahanna.

In the Gahanna City Council race, no one filed to oppose ward 1 council member John McAlister, ward 2 member Shane Ewald, ward 3 member Tom Evers or ward 4 member Beryl Anderson.
