Gahanna resident Paul Bittner, a partner at Schottenstein Zox and Dunn Co., has been named to the 2011 edition of "Best Lawyers."

The guide is compiled from an annual peer-review survey.

Bittner, a graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, was recognized for labor and employment law.

Katie N. Eggers of Gahanna has been promoted to the position of supervisor of client relations at Hamilton Capital Management Inc.

In her new role, Eggers will oversee client service operations, assist clients with their ongoing needs and support the firm's financial advisory team.

She is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in English.

John Kennedy of Blacklick has been elected to the Governing Board of the Children's Hunger Alliance.

The Alliance is a statewide nonprofit organization "committed to breaking the cycle of childhood hunger in Ohio through education, leadership, advocacy and service."

Kennedy is senior partner with Crabbe, Brown & James LLP.

He was elected to a three-year term.

Additionally, Blacklick resident Ed Kinster was named chairperson of the CHA Governing Board.

Kinster is executive vice president of merchandising planning and allocation at Victoria Secret Stores.

Pablo A. Vegas of Blacklick is the newest member of the COSI board of trustees.

He is vice president and chief information officer for American Electric Power. Prior to his current position, Vegas served as president and chief operating officer for AEP Texas.

Vegas has served on numerous boards, including those for the Christus Spohn Health System, the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation and the St. James Episcopal School.

He was recently selected to chair the Bold Future Initiative for Corpus Christi.

Vegas attended the AEP Strategic Leadership program at The Ohio State University.

He graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
