Nearly a dozen mailboxes were vandalized in northeast Gahanna on Sept. 24.

Lt. Dan Williams said the mailboxes were damaged during the early morning hours Saturday along Harrison Pond Drive, Venetian Way, Deer Run Drive, Havens Road, Waggoner Road and Clark State Road, as well as Stratshire Lane in Franklin County. Additionally, a stop sign was knocked down on Clark State Road.

“Someone was driving around, pushing over mailboxes,” Williams said. “It happened east of Hamilton Road. There were also some incidents in Franklin County, where someone ran over road signs.”

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office recovered a grill assembly from a 2006 or newer neon-blue Chevrolet SUV, according to Williams.
