Developer withdraws Madden Ridge apartment proposal
The proposed Madden Ridge rezoning that was highly contested by residents and the Pizzuti Co. last month has been dropped by the applicant.
Sadicka White, president of Sadicka & Associates, emailed city zoning administrator Bonnie Gard on May 30 to officially inform the planning commission that applicant Don Kenney of DRK Properties had withdrawn the proposal for 102 apartments on Morse Road.
“Please accept this correspondence as official communication indicating that the application submitted by me on behalf of Madden Ridge development is hereby withdrawn,” White wrote in the email. “Thank you and the administration for your support of the proposed project. I trust my client will have the opportunity in the future to develop in Gahanna.”
As a result, a June 6 planning workshop that had been scheduled in the matter has been canceled.
