Gahanna-Jefferson board approves treasurer's contract

The Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education approved a three-year contract on Dec. 13 for treasurer Julio Valladares at an annual salary of $146,517.

The contract is effective Aug. 1, 2013, through July 31, 2016.

Under the terms of the contract, Valladares will pay the employee share of his State Employees Retirement System contributions through payroll deductions.
