Woman robbed at gunpoint in StoneRidge Plaza parking lot

A woman told Gahanna police she was robbed at gunpoint at about 5:54 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, in the StoneRidge Plaza parking lot, 1365 Stoneridge Drive.

The woman said she was approached by a black man wearing dark jeans and black hoodie with the hood up, and he had light facial hair. He also was described as being very skinny and about 5 feet, 10 inches tall.

The man reportedly had a silver handgun with a black stripe on the side. He asked her which car belonged to her, and he proceeded to steal her wallet.

The man was last seen headed toward the KFC and Shell service station, according to police reports.

* Police received a complaint at 7:27 a.m. Jan. 4 regarding a motorist who was all over the road because she was applying makeup while driving near Havens Corners and North Hamilton roads.

* Police received a complaint at 4:01 p.m. Jan. 4 about a mastiff chasing him into the street in the 500 block of Sutterton Drive. The owner of the dog told police he had forgotten about leaving the dog outside.

* Police took a report at 3:20 a.m. Jan. 5 about a brown and white male bulldog that was found with no collar or tags at Giant Eagle on McCutcheon Road. Police called Franklin County Animal Control.

* Police received a report at 4:04 p.m. Jan. 6 about a sick or injured raccoon walking in the roadway around Mill Street and Heil Drive.

* Twenty to 30 DVDs were reported stolen from a business in the 390 block of Stoneridge Lane at 6:02 p.m. Jan. 6.

* Police received a complaint at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 7 about four juveniles on a pond behind Barden Court.

* Police received a complaint at 6:36 p.m. Jan. 9 about kids in traffic throwing snowballs at people near Stygler Road and Sandburr Drive. Police later were advised that the kids were patrons of a nearby church and were throwing snow at a light post.

* Headphones were reported stolen at 3:57 p.m. Jan. 10 from Middle School West, 350 Stygler Road North.

* A wallet containing credit cards and a radar detector were reported stolen from a vehicle at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 10 in the 550 block of YMCA Place.

* Police received a complaint at 9:52 a.m. Jan. 12 about an injured opossum in the 630 block of Rocky Fork Boulevard.

* Bags were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 350 block of Bow Drive at 9:53 a.m. Jan. 12.

* Police received a report at 5:38 p.m. Jan. 12 about a herd of deer trying to cross the road at U.S. Route 62 and Mill Street.

* A purse was reported stolen at 9:10 p.m. Jan. 12 from a business in the 1300 block of Stoneridge Drive.
