Without any comments, the Gahanna-Jefferson school board has approved abolishing seven full-time positions and suspending contracts for Information Technology employees effective July 31.
During the April 30 special meeting, the board also approved a five-year contract with Epiphany Management Group effective July 1 through June 30, 2018.
Superintendent Francis Scruci said the district has been talking with EMG for six to seven months about outsourcing technology.

He said the change has the potential to save the district close to $1 million during the next five years.
